1968 Y.A Title "Time Running Out" Oil on Canvas by Noel Daggett (1925-2005)
As winner of the Emily Lowe Award, the excellence of Noel Daggett's work was so highly regarded that the U.S. Coast Guard commissioned him to do twenty five paintings for its Combat Art Collection. Dr. Lester Cook, Curator of Paintings for the National Galleries, Washington, D.C. appraised them with, "These paintings are among the finest I have ever seen." This majestic piece measures 48x50" and captures New York Giants quarterback Y.A Title and Green Bay Packers lineman Rosey Brown. The oil on canvas was painted by Daggett in 1968 and is signed by the artist on the front. Writing on back of the canvas includes the title, "Time Running Out," a great representation of the split seconds separating throw from impact.
