1969-70 Walt Frazier Signed Game Worn Converse Sneakers Gifted to Knicks Ball Boy
Walt Frazier's game worn Converse sneakers from 1969-70 Knicks' season. That year, the Knicks defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA finals by 4 games to 3. Game 7 was selected by ESPN as the greatest Game 7 in NBA history. Willis Reed played despite a severe thigh injury, made his first two shots, and stopped Chamberlain on defense, and Clyde Frazier scored 36 points and had 19 assists as the Knicks won 113-99. After the game, famed announcer Howard Cosell told Frazier, "You exemplify the very best that the human spirit can offer." Frazier wrote "To Johnny, From Clyde" on each sneaker. Size 12.5. White converse with blue laces. Consignor and his family have been personal friends with Frazier since the 1960s. Also comes with a signed oversized photo (11x14") on cardboard backing (14x20") that Frazier signed to him. On cardboard above photo Frazier writes, "To Johnny A friend from a friend. Walt Frazier." Below photo Frazier adds his nickname, "Clyde." There is a small rip on the toe of the right shoe, and there was actually an interesting article written mentioning his shoe being ripped in the game. Nice game use. Excellent condition.
