1969 Fred Stanley Seattle Pilots Game Worn Cap

1969 Fred Stanley Seattle Pilots Game Worn Cap

Having existed for just one season, the Seattle Pilots occupy an unusual place in baseball's modern era. This cap belonging to Fred Stanley from that 1969 campaign is very rare in light of the franchise's brief tenure. The size 6 3/4 cap features Stanley's "22" written under the brim in black marker, and includes KM Pro tagging while displaying fine use. Royal blue with a bold gold "S" embroidered on the crown, the unique touch is the golden oak leaf embellishments - also known as "scrambled eggs" - on the cap's bill. The insignia is worn on dress caps by military officers, a nod to their "Pilots" moniker.
