1969 New York Mets World Series Ring

1969 New York Mets World Series Ring

Managed by the late, great Gil Hodges, the 1969 Miracle New York Mets captured the hearts of America as they beat the Baltimore Orioles in the World Series. This gold cast championship ring (size 10 1/2) is a replica similar to the ring presented to Gil Hodges for leading the Mets to World Series victory. A size 12 cubic zirconium is mounted on a gold baseball diamond which sits on a blue stone background. Gold letters around the face read "New York Mets, World Champions 1969" in relief. The left shank shows a Mets logo on two crossed bats, above which reads "14, Hodges, Mgr." The right shank has a gold rendition of Shea Stadium in relief above the wording "Mets vs Orioles." Ring shows some overall wear. A nice piece to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Mets' first World Series Championship.
