1969 Seattle Pilots "Go Go You Pilots" Test Record in Original Sleeve & Envelope w/Lyrics (2)

1969 Seattle Pilots "Go Go You Pilots" Test Record in Original Sleeve & Envelope w/Lyrics (2)

It's hard enough to find memorabilia from the Seattle Pilots' 1969 season - their one-and-only in existence - but this memento is truly one-of-a-kind. From former team executive Lewis Matlin, this appears to be a proof of the team's jingle/theme song, "Go Go You Pilots." Recorded on something similar to an acetate - as opposed to the usual vinyl of the era - this 45 rpm classic has the original sleeve with a blank label with the name of the ditty written on each side, one being vocal and the other instrumental. Also included is a set of typewritten lyrics and it comes in the original mailing envelope, interestingly addressed to the "Detroit Tigers Baseball Team," with the postal stamp dating from August of 1968.
