1970-71 Johnny Bench Game Used Bat

1970-71 Johnny Bench Game Used Bat

Hall of Fame catcher Johnny Bench played his entire 17-season major league baseball career with the Cincinnati Reds, when he helped drive the Big Red Machine to World Series championships in 1975 and 1976. Bench used this Louisville Slugger model B 278 bat during the period between 1970 and 1971. Measuring 35 1/2" in length and weighing 32 oz., the bat is uncracked but has some slight wood separation at the back of the barrel. Bench's number 5 is written on the knob in black marker. The bat shows nice ball marks throughout the hitting surface, and is a beautiful collectible from Bench, a 14-time All Star and 10-time Gold Glove Award winner.
