1970-71 UCLA Bruins National Championship Basketball Ring
This size-11 1970-71 UCLA NCAA Champions ring is the first we have seen for sale. Representative of a golden era in college basketball history, the 1970-71 team, led by iconic coach John Wooden, won the fifth of seven straight NCAA championships for the program. Made of 10k yellow gold and produced by Balfour, this stunning piece is in NM-MT condition and features a blue stone in its center, surrounded by the words "UCLA N.C.A.A. CHAMPIONS" on its top. One side of the ring contains the team name, "BRUINS", as well as a basketball, while the other lists the season, "1971" atop "1970". The initials "RRB" are etched into the inside of the ring, suggesting it may have belonged to Rick Betchley, an important role player on the '70-71 team.
