Fabulous signed letter written by great American artist Andrew Wyeth. Autographed letter signed from Thomaston, Maine, dated September 13, 1970. Two pages with hand addressed postal envelope. On Wyeth's letterhead to Harold Hugo, of the Meriden Gravure Company: "I have been slow indeed in thanking you for the box you so kindly sent me for the beautiful Catalogue. ...the blue of the box is like the sea we look on out the window.... My warmest thanks also for the fine job you did on this catalogue." Comes with the printed catalogue in hardcover box from the Museum of Fine Arts (Boston) by Andrew Wyeth, 1970. Of course it is printed by The Meriden Gravure Company. The selfsame copy of the catalog to which Wyeth refers above. Color plates & illustrations in custom brown levant morocco-backed blue cloth fall-down box.
