1970 Foreman vs. Chuvalo On-Site Poster
Nice nearly half-a-century old poster. George Foreman and George Chuvalo were both heavyweight fighters on their way up when they met on August 4, 1970 at Madison Square Garden. Colorful poster touts Foreman as being the "SENSATIONAL UNBEATEN 1968 OLYMPIC CHAMPION," and Chuvalo as the "RUGGED CANADIAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION." Foreman, in hot pursuit of the Heavyweight Belt, unleashed a furious 40-second pommeling of Chuvalo at almost a punch per second that caused referee Arthur Merconte to award Foreman a TKO victory in Round 3 of 10.
