1970 New York Yankees Game Worn Number "9" Jersey with Pants & Cap
Ron Woods, the speedy and sure-handed outfielder, once took the field at Yankee Stadium in this sensational set of flannel pinstripes. Although his name appears in the collar (chain-stitched "Woods") the felt number "9" on the back will always belong to Roger Maris, and on the tail "Spalding", [size] "40", "Do Not Dry Clean", tags are joined by a "Set 1 1970" tag and a chain-stitched "70" (year). Nice use. The matching "home" pants were worn by Fritz Peterson that same season and are complete with his name, number, size, and inseam sewn into the waistband, with additional player numbers and year written in black marker. Lastly is the Yankees cap worn by Elston Howard during his years as a coach in the 1970's. Manufactured by New Era, the [size] "7 1/4" has his number "32" in marker under the visor and displays good use..
