1970 Pittsburgh Pirates Team Signed Baseball with Roberto Clemente

1970 Pittsburgh Pirates Team Signed Baseball with Roberto Clemente

1970 marked the end of an era in Pittsburgh as the Pirates moved mid-season from Forbes Field to Three Rivers Stadium, where they celebrated their first National league East Division crown. This high-grade, official National League (Giles) baseball from that season of transition has a clear coating of preservative for the 31 signatures which average 8+/10. They include Clemente, Ellis, Stargell, Alou, Nelson, Oliver, Alley, Hebner, Sanguillen, Virdon, Blass and Murtaugh, most of whom would be on hand the following year, when the Bucs would win it all.
