From the memorable Roberto Clemente Day held on July 24, 1970 in Pittsburgh comes this remarkable and important sign. Created specifically for the event, this large 40" diameter baseball shaped and inspired sign features detailed red hand painted stitching and the words, "Julio 24 - Roberto Clement Day - Pittsburgh." Mounted on a large black 44x44" background, this unique piece has received some professional restoration/conversation enhancing its overall appearance and originality. Includes letter of provenance from the Clemente family attesting to its authenticity and signed by Vera Clemente.
