1970 Roberto Clemente Day Signed Program (PSA MINT 9)

1970 Roberto Clemente Day Signed Program (PSA MINT 9)

More than 43,000 fans jammed their way into sparkling new Three Rivers Stadium on July 24, 1970, to honor a legend: Roberto Clemente Day program signed by the Hall of Famer, whose life and career would end all too abruptly two-and-a-half years later. The stadium had opened its gates for the first time nine days earlier, so this was the first real ceremony at the venue, featuring Clemente, surrounded by his family on the field pregame, addressing the crowd and absorbing a well-deserved, extended standing ovation. The program is in Excellent condition, and it was obtained in person in 1970. The Hall of Fame outfielder‚s beautiful signature has been graded PSA MINT 9. Comes with PSA LOA.
