1970 Roberto Clemente Hospital Bracelet

1970 Roberto Clemente Hospital Bracelet

Here's an amazing, one-of-a-kind piece from Roberto Clemente's famed 1970 hospital stint after the Hall of Fame outfielder collapsed one day running to first base. The celluloid look and paper insert gives this item a great look, and reads: "Clemente, Roberto W." Unlike anything we have ever seen before from the four-time batting champ and 12-time All-Star. Clemente is revered by Latin-Americans today as he was the game's first Hispanic superstar. He finished his legendary career with exactly 3,000 hits as his life was cut short when his plane went down during a humanitarian relief mission to Nicaraguan earthquake victims on the last day of 1972.
