1970 Roberto Clemente Pittsburgh Pirates Cap and 1964 Team Signed Baseball

1970 Roberto Clemente Pittsburgh Pirates Cap and 1964 Team Signed Baseball

1) This Pittsburgh Pirates cap was supposedly worn by him when he was an instructor at a baseball clinic in Puerto Rico. It has all the earmarks of a correct Clemente hat except for the number inside "21" is on the underside of the brim rather than up in the netting. The hat was later given as a gift to an Eastern Airlines employee who attended his clinic, circa 1970. It comes with an LOA from his son and copy of a photo of Clemente from that day. The dark gold cap sports a black "P" and a black brim. On the underside of the brim is a "21" in blue ink. Appears to be size 6 7/8 (allegedly the smallest head in baseball). "New Era" tag inside and the interior of the cap shows excellent usage. Comes with copy of a photo (14 x 11") of him giving the clinic. He is cap-less in the photo. Maybe he had already given it away. 2) Lot also comes with a 1964 Pittsburgh Pirates Team Signed Baseball from the same source. It is an Official NL ball with Warren Giles' sig. Comes with 23 Pirates signatures in blue ink. Included: Clemente (9 out of 10), Mazeroski, Veale, Clendenon, Virdon, Cardwell, Blass and Murtaugh. Overall Ex-Mt.
