1970s-90s Pittsburgh Pirates Games Worn Jersey & Pants Collection (5)
A wealth of Pirates' treasure. 1) 1992-93 Tim Wakefield home jersey - possible rookie year. Wakefield was a knuckleball pitcher who pitched his first two seasons for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He went 8-1 in his rookie season and 6-11 in his second year. Wakefield then pitched for the Boston Red Sox until he was 44 years old. Tagged "Action Tailored 48," Pirates logo on left sleeve. "WAKEFIELD 47" on back. Excellent condition. 2-3) 1977 Al Holland black road jersey and pants, three repairs in pants. Holland, a lefty, was a reliever with ten years in MLB. In the 1977 season he made his Major League debut with the Pirates and played two games. Tagged "Action Tailored Rawlings [size] 48. Excellent condition. 4) 1988 Felix Fermin home jersey with "RSC" on left sleeve for Pittsburgh mayor Richard S. Caliguiri. Fermin was a middle-infielder who started his career with Pittsburgh and batted .276 in '88. Jersey is tagged "Rawlings Official Licensee 40 T 1988." "FERMIN 29" on rear. Excellent condition. 5) 1992 Denny Neagle road jersey. Neagle was a lefty who was a reliever in 1992 who went 4-6. Later on in his career he became a starter and ended with a 124-92 lifetime record. Jersey tagged "Action Tailored Rawlings [size] 44, SET 1 1992," back reads "Neagle 32." Excellent condition.
