1970s Alex Delvecchio Autographed Game Used Stick
Northland stick used by Alex Delvecchio of the Detroit Red Wings in the early 1970s. Delvecchio played for Detroit from 1950 through 1974, teaming with Gordie Howe to form a potent offensive threat. Alex scored 456 goals and recorded 1281 points in over 1500 NHL career games, and was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1977. This Northland Custom Pro model stick has tape on the knob and 4 inches down the handle, and has only 4 wraps of tape around the straight blade. Only a few pieces of the celluloid red accent taping stripes remain. The stick is stamped with the Olympic Sporting Goods distributor name and “DELVECCHIO” in black. On the middle of the stick is Delvecchio’s autograph in black pen, slightly faded and grades 6-7 out of 10. The stick shows good game use with many puck and board marks and a chip of wood gone from the heel of the blade.
