1970s Definitive Yankee Stadium Sign
The sights and sounds, the anticipation of heading to the House the Ruth Built on a beautiful summer day is all conjured by this one simple sign. Measuring a substantial 30x30", this circa 1970s road sign showed the way to Yankee stadium from the Major Deegan Expressway, and fans from across the area and around the world saw this on the way to the hallowed Bronx grounds. It reads "Yakee Stadium" in white lettering on blue background, with "Dept of Transportation" on the bottom, and summons the chills that we experienced as were about to see the likes of Munson or Reggie or Mattingly or Jeter. Has holes for mounting and some light scratches.
