1970’s Elton John Stage Worn Costume

1970’s Elton John Stage Worn Costume

Liberace eat your heart out! This jumpsuit and matching hat are the very epitome of 70’s glam fashion. Worn by Elton John on stage circa 1975 but still dazzling to behold, the costume is in EX condition. It was designed by fashion icon Bob Mackie and constructed at Cotroneo Costume in Hollywood, CA. Elton John stage costumes are not very common and this one is in spectacular shape. The jumpsuit is silver with black accents that have innumerable sequins and mirrored buttons. Wispy black feathers grace the shoulders. The sequins on the accompanying cowboy hat must have worn someone’s fingers to the bone being sewn into place. This is a really special one-of-a-kind lot.
