In the pantheon of soccer greatness, one name still rises above all. This awesome collection is from a close friend of Edson Arantes do Nascimento - Pele - to a NJ sportswriter. Including finishing his playing career with the New York Cosmos, Pele was one of the key early supporters of soccer/futbol in the United States. All signatures are vintage and PSA authenticated. 1) Two-page typed "Open Letter" to the soccer giants of the U.S. for creation of a master plan to promote soccer in America. Signed " Edson Pele" (PSA Cert). 2) Gorgeous 1969 FDC w/Pele stamp. PSA slabbed and graded, Mint 9. Signed "Good Work Pele." 3) 1966 U.S. Cup of Champions signed on cover by Pele and teammate.
