1970s Silver Tray Presented by the First Man to Walk on the Moon, Astronaut Neil Armstrong, to the Cincinnati Reds

1970s Silver Tray Presented by the First Man to Walk on the Moon, Astronaut Neil Armstrong, to the Cincinnati Reds

An out-of-this-world piece, this tray was presented by the first man to walk on the moon to the "Big Red Machine." This is unlike anything we have ever seen; not only does it connect baseball to the golden age of NASA and the space program, but to one of the most important humans ever to walk on THIS planet. Discovered in a New York City pawn shop in the 1970s, it was lost for years and now rediscovered. A great looking period NASA logo is anointed with the immortal words: "Presented To The Big Red Machine, As A Token Of My Unbounded Support - NEIL ARMSTRONG." Tray is 22x13" and has some wear, the lucky manufacturer is unknown. Armstrong loved the Big Red Machine and baseball, hence the alliance. Before he walked on the moon, he walked the streets of Cincinnati as a boy. Comes with letter from Lelands.com attesting to the provenance and authenticity.
