1971-72 Senators Plaque with Roberto Clemente

1971-72 Senators Plaque with Roberto Clemente

This 1971-72 San Juan Senators' plaque signed by Roberto Clemente is from the Puerto Rican League, but the roster is Major League All-Star by any standards. Besides Clemente's signature those of Tony Perez, Jon Matlack, Jim Bibby and Bruce Kison also flourish in blue ballpoint inkupon the 7- by 10-inch egg-shaped cork wood. And just why did Vera Clemente, the Hall of Famer's wife, sign her name? Maybe she had a better season. Roberto Clemente played for San Juan months after leading Pittsburgh to victory in the World Series and just months before he was killed in a plane crash. The plaque is in EX condition and the signatures are 9-10/10.
