1971 Baltimore Orioles American League Championship Ring
Early in his MLB managerial career, Earl Weaver caught lightning in a bottle at the helm of the powerful Baltimore Orioles and this sample celebrates the Birds' 1971 American League Championship. Simple by today's standards, the piece has an understated charm with an orange stone set on a black background surrounded by "Baltimore Orioles AL Champions 1971." The feisty manager's name is engraved on the right shank above flags bearing the years 1971, 1970, and 1969, surrounded by "THREE STRAIGHT," indicating the squad's trio of league titles. The left shank shows the swinging Oriole bird logo over a globe, with "World Tour" above and Japanese characters below. The ring is size 11.5, and is in NRMT condition. 33.6g. Comes with Balfour ring box.
