1971 Bob Wolf Milwaukee Bucks NBA World Championship Ring

1971 Bob Wolf Milwaukee Bucks NBA World Championship Ring

Very scarce 1971 Milwaukee Bucks NBA Championship ring awarded to Bob Wolf. Size 10 specimen weighs 38 grams and is in the simple-yet-stunning design style of the era with NBA WORLD CHAMPIONS around the bezel surrounding one sizeable genuine diamond set atop a basketball. Left shank has the year 1971 around an NBA Logoman relief, opposite shank has engraved full name "BOB WOLF" above "20 Straight," representing the team's 20-game winning streak during the season. Below that is a relief of the standing buck with ball logo, and team name at the bottom. While Wolf was a fixture with the team, one can be forgiven if he's not remembered for any on-court exploits. That's because he was actually the basketball writer for the Milwaukee Journal (which later merged with the Sentinel to become the modern-day Journal Sentinel), and was awarded this ring by the team. Great memento of the squad that was led by Lew Alcindor, who, after winning that year's title, permanently changed his team to the now-iconic Kareem Abdul-Jabbar; also on that team was Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson. It took exactly 50 years until Giannis Antetokounmpo and company brought the title back to the land of cheese with their championship run in 2021.
