1971 Muhammad Ali v. Joe Frazier I Presentational Gold Gloves

1971 Muhammad Ali v. Joe Frazier I Presentational Gold Gloves

A knockout for boxing buffs, this pair of gold gloves was created specifically to promote the first-ever bout between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier on March 8, 1971, billed at the time as the "Fight of the Century." Not sold at the fight, they were given to VIPs and some members of the press, thus, they are highly desirable. They are even rarer in that their condition is NRMT. Printed on each of the Everlast gloves is: "MADISON SQUARE GARDEN WORLD'S HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MARCH 8, 1971 JOE FRAZIER MUHAMMAD ALI EVERLAST-INGLY YOURS."
