1971 Muhammad Ali vs. Joe Frazier LeRoy Neiman Poster
Large-format souvenir poster, created by renowned artist LeRoy Neiman, commemorating the historic 1971 "Fight of the Century" between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier. Issued in 1971, the same year as the fight, the poster pictures both fighters, as well as the locale and date of the fight: "Madison Square Garden/Mar. 8, 1971." This is actually much more attractive than the actual on-site poster issued for the bout, which saw Joe Frazier defend his heavyweight title with a 15 round unanimous decision over the previously undefeated Muhammad Ali. As such, it has always been appreciated by boxing collectors and makes for an outstanding wall display. The poster (24x36"; visible dimensions) is in apparent Near Mint condition and has been matted and framed to total dimensions of 34x47."
