1971 World Champion Pittsburgh Pirates Team-Signed Baseball with Clemente (PSA/DNA)

1971 World Champion Pittsburgh Pirates Team-Signed Baseball with Clemente (PSA/DNA)

For the Pittsburgh Pirates, 1971 was a landmark year. Not only did the franchise capture its fourth World Series title, it also fielded the first-ever all-black starting lineup in a game on September 1. It was the final title for Hall of Fame legend Roberto Clemente, whose name highlights the list of signatures on the Official National League (Feeney) ball, along with Danny Murtaugh, Willie Stargell, Bill Mazeroski, Dock Ellis, Bill Virdon, Jim "Mudcat" Grant, Manny Sanguillen and more. Signed in blue ballpoint pen, the ball comes with PSA/DNA LOA. The '71 Bucs defeated the Baltimore Orioles in the World Series, a feat the team would duplicate eight years later, to nearly bookend the decade with trophies.
