1972 Don Awrey Boston Bruins Game Worn Jersey
Don Awrey, a stay-at-home defenseman and sin bin regular, hoisted the Cup in 1970 and 1972 with the Bruins and once more in 1976 as a member of the Montreal Canadiens. Mesmerizing Dureen Boston uniform worn by Awrey during the Bruins glory days of the early 1970's. This impossible tie-neck style in road black literally rubbed elbows with identical jerseys worn by Orr, Espo and Cheevers. A dozen repairs (some quite large) with great runs and pilling inside and out tell the tale of on-ice battles for the puck. Tagged by Wilson in the neck with a pair of custom fight straps in the tail. Before nameplates, with crest and numbers sewn on. "A" on left breast with original string in neck. A fantastic example!
