1972 Roberto Clemente Signed 3,000th Hit Photograph (8x10")
One of the very last autographs signed by the tragic Hall of Famer, penned no more than three months before his plane went down. We know this because the photograph pictures Roberto smacking his 3,000th and final hit at the close of the 1972 season. He would die on December 31st of that year. Black felt tip inscription, reading, "Best Wishes, Roberto Clemente," is a perfect 10/10. It couldn't be better. Photo has some light toning of the white border, but could easily be framed to appear NRMT. A piece of vast importance. Original owner had Clemente sign this, in person, at the 1972 N.L.C.S.
