1972 Rolling Stones "Exile On Main Street" BANNED Poster

1972 Rolling Stones "Exile On Main Street" BANNED Poster

Infamous poster features legendary circus & sideshow star "Three Ball Charlie" who could hold a tennis, golf and billiard "5" ball in his mouth simultaneously. Deemed offensive by the record company it was pulled, hence the rarity. Yet the band can be found wearing Charlie t-shirts throughout the 1972 World Tour. No wonder. "Exile" was and still is their high water mark in the opinion of most. And no one was going to tell these bad boys what to do and like it. The U.S. poster is a true Grail for Stones and poster collectors. This is a recently found Italian version and is the only one we know of. Original folds and small crease in the bottom left otherwise EX-MT. 16.5x22.5".
