1972 Windlan Hall San Francisco 49th Game Worn Helmet
This Riddell KRA-Lite 8 San Francisco 49ers model helmet is an excellent example of early 1970s NFL equipment. The "SF" logo stickers are on each side, with red and white vinyl striping on the center of the helmet. The 12-point canvas suspension is stamped with the size "7 7/8" on the headband, with a "7" stamped on a canvas strap on the inside back of the helmet. The stampings are in black ink. A Riddell manufacturers sticker is on the inside of the helmet. The "KRA Lite 8" model name is stamped into the helmet on the rear right. The Riddell two-bar type face mask is grey plastic covered metal. The single white vinyl chinstrap has a felt lining on the inside of the "chin" portion and is stamped with the manufacturers name in red ink. The original padded leather ear pads are attached to the helmet with metal snaps. The helmet shows good game use on all the original parts. There are several scratches and gouges in the helmet, and the white vinyl stripe has pulled loose from the helmet at both ends. Hall, a defensive back from Arizona State, scored touchdowns off an interception and fumble recovery the next season. LOA.
