1973-1978 Los Angeles Rams Team-Signed Presentation Footballs (3)
Collection of three (3) Los Angeles Rams team-signed presentation footballs dating from the 1970s. Each ball features a large, painted personalization to a particular individual, below which is a salutation from the Rams and the year. All the balls are partially deflated. 1) 1973. Personalized "To Tony." Forty black-ink signatures (averaging 7/10), including Jack Youngblood, M. Olsen, Jim Youngblood, McCutcheon, Brooks, Reynolds, Mack, Dryer, Allison, Nelson, Ray, Bryant, Baker, and T. Nelson. The personalization panel displays abrasions and paint loss, which has obscured nearly all the text. A handwritten notation in black ink near the laces reads "1973 LA Rams (12-2) Beat Cowboys." GD. 2) 1976. Personalized "To Tim." Forty-two black-ink signatures (averaging 8/10) including Cappelletti, Olsen, Mack, Bryant, Jim Youngblood, Jaworski, Brooks, H. Jackson, Reece, Perry, Elmendorf, France, Rogers, Jack Youngblood, McCutcheon, Saul, and Haden. A handwritten notation in black ink near the laces reads "10-3-1 Beat Dolphins Cowboys Tied Vikings." EX-MT. 3) 1978. Personalized "To Eric." Approximately 30 red-ink signatures (averaging 2/10; many faded beyond legibility), including Youngblood, Marshall, Walker, Jodat, and Saul. GD.
