1973-74 Oscar Robertson Milwaukee Bucks Game Worn Jersey
Incredible game worn Oscar Robertson jersey from the 1973-74 season, his last in the NBA, making this perhaps the last home jersey he ever wore. The beautiful, all-original Milwaukee Bucks jersey with lettering and numerals sewn on vinyl was taken home by Robertson after the season and comes from his own personal collection. When the lights went out on Robertson's basketball career, he had indeed put together a Hall of Fame resume. The Big O was a 12-time All Star, 9-time All-NBA First Team selection, the 1964 MVP, and in 1996 was voted one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History. He was instrumental in turning around the Bucks franchise when he was unceremoniously traded to the team prior to the '70-71 season. In his first season with the team, Robertson delivered Milwaukee its first and only NBA title. They returned to the Finals in Robertson's final year with the team, the year this jersey was worn, but failed to give Robertson the fairy tale ending he deserved, falling in seven games to the Boston Celtics. The jersey has "BUCKS" and "1" on the front and "ROBERTSON" and "1" on the back. The mesh jersey with red on green vinyl has three tags on the front tail - an exclusive Milwaukee Bucks tag, Milwaukee Sporting Goods Co. tag, and Sand-Knit size tag - which are all frayed to some extent from use. The size tag is faded so the number cannot be read but we estimate by measurements that it is a 42. Wonderful use with a minimal amount of color transfers from the green trim to the white body. This is one of the best Oscar Robertson jerseys on the planet.
