1973-75 Pete Rose Game Used Bat
Once known as "Charlie Hustle," Pete Rose played 24 seasons in the National League, most of them with the Cincinnati Reds. Despite his later gambling issues, he is the all-time Major League leader in career base hits, games played, and at-bats, as well as a 17-time All Star and three-time National League batting champion. Rose used this Louisville Slugger model S 222 during 1973-1975 as the Big Red Machine was coming into league dominance, winning the World Series in both 1975 and 1976. The bat shows nice game use and is not cracked; it shows ball marks on the hitting surface. The number "14" is written on the knob in black marker. Nice collectible from the man who, were it not for his betting problems, would without a doubt have been selected to the Baseball Hall of Fame on the first ballot.
