1973 Hank Aaron 705th Home Run Baseball
When the folks at the Baseball Hall of Fame see this listing, they’re sure to say, “Oh, so there it is!” After all, they have an exhibition of Aaron home run balls from 700 to 715, and this is one of the few missing balls. It’s even marked the same way--see that faded “705” written just above the seams on the “Spalding” logo? All the Hall of Fame balls are just like that. This one was hit against Reggie Cleveland of the St. Louis Cardinals in Atlanta County Stadium on August 22, 1973 to move Hammerin’ Hank within ten long balls of the Babe’s record. ONL (Feeney) ball was originally acquired from Bill Acree, the traveling secretary of the Braves, and shows dramatic use from that historic moment in baseball history. LOA.
