1973 Jerry Quarry vs. Earnie Shavers On-Site Fight Poster
On June 18, 1973 at Madison Square Garden in New York, heavyweight contenders Earnie Shavers and Jimmy Ellis battled in the main event. The hard-hitting Shavers made quick work of it, knocking out Ellis in the very first round. On the undercard, future champion Vito Antuofermo stopped Tony Durango in the second round. Offered here is a very scarce, on-site poster to the event. Mounted on heavy cardboard, it pictures both fighters. There are no creases or tears, and the color and images are bold. There is some edge and corner wear, as well as minor tape stains. Measures 22 1/2" x 28 1/2."
