1973 Jimmy Ellis vs. Earnie Shavers On-Site Fight Poster
On June 18, 1973 at Madison Square Garden in New York, rising heavyweight puncher Earnie Shavers fought former champion Jimmy Ellis in the main event. Shavers exploded at the opening bell dominating Ellis from the start and knocked him out the very first round. On the undercard future world middleweight champion Vito Antuofermo stopped Tony "Kid" Durango in the second round. We are offering here a rare, original, on site poster for this event. This cardboard poster pictures Shavers and Ellis. The poster has some creasing, edge and surface wear and has some tape residue from mounting. Overall VG condition, but presents very well. 22" x 28".
