1973 National League All Star Team Signed Baseball (PSA 8.5)
The 1973 All-Star game represented the 40th anniversary of the tradition. Another reason it was special was that it marked the 24th and final time that the great Willie Mays would participate. During that span it sometimes seemed that it was a showcase for his all around talents. The American League took an early lead, but was unable to hold onto it. Trailing 1-0 in the third, the National League scored two runs and never looked back. While this official AL ball (Cronin) bears the signatures of some great National League ballplayers from the game, there’s more to it than just that. Many of the signatures are from future Hall of Famers. Willie Mays, Sparky Anderson, Billy Williams, Johnny Bench, Joe Torre, Ron Santo, Joe Morgan, Bobby Bonds, Hank Aaron, Pete Rose, Tom Seaver, Don Sutton and Willie Stargell. 26 signatures in all. Autographs are 8-9/10 while ball is NRMT-MT. Comes with LOA.
