In 1974, at age 32, the great Muhammad Ali faced what was expected to be the toughest challenge of his career. His opponent, far different from the smiling grill salesman of today, was George Foreman, known for his hulking figure and aggressive presence. This 14x18" on-site poster is from that fight, billed as "The Rumble in the Jungle." The French-language poster is in EX-NRMT condition, depicting both fighters over the outline of Africa in brilliant yellow and green colors. Adding to it's rarity, the poster lists the original fight date of September 25 - it was postponed to October 30 due to an injury to Foreman. In that fight, Ali taunted the champ and used his "rope-a-dope" strategy to wear down his foe and take the title in a stunning eighth-round knockout.
