1974 Dave Parker First Major League Grand Slam Baseball

1974 Dave Parker First Major League Grand Slam Baseball

Shortly before he earned the nickname "The Cobra," Pirates All-Star outfielder Dave Parker popped his first career grand slam as a pinch-hitter vs. Montreal in the eighth inning of a late 1974 game, helping the Buccos to the National League Eastern Division crown. This Official National League (Feeney) baseball shows nice use and features the following inscription by Parker in vintage ink on the side panel "First Major League Grand Slam, Sept. 8th 1974 Off Tom Walker, Montreal." The lot includes a letter from Parker and is from his personal collection.
