1974 Jerry Quarry Fight Worn Robe vs. Joe Frazier
Even during the era of Ali, the “White Hope” was one of the sport’s most charismatic fighters. His exploits in the ring were as exciting and surprising as those that usually took place within the “Quarry Clan” in the auditorium parking lot. In 1974 though Jerry squared off for the second time against Joe Frazier and on that day he would don this gorgeous garment. Constructed of pale green and white satin the robe is embroidered, “Irish Jerry Quarry” in white across the back in large chain-stitched letters. The left cuff has been signed and inscribed in red marker, “Keep Punchin, Jerry Quarry, 6-17-74”. Missing the sash. An awesome item from the golden years of the heavyweight division.
