1974 Los Angeles Dodgers National League Championship Ring

Displayed is a 1974 Los Angeles Dodgers National League Championship ring. That season, the Dodgers went 102-60 in the regular season and defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 3-1 in games to win the NL pennant. In the World Series, the Dodgers were beaten 4-1 in games by the Oakland Athletics. The Dodgers were managed by Hall of Fame manager Walter Alston, and they led the NL in both team ERA and in runs scored. Andy Messersmith won 20 games and Hall of Famer Don Sutton won 19. Bill Buckner hit .314, and Steve Garvey hit .312. Jimmy Wynn had 108 RBIs, and Davey Lopes stole 59 bases. Lettering around the face of the ring reads, "Dodgers National League Champions." The left prong reads, "Dodgers" and has an image of a baseball, and the right prong shows "1974" in raised numerals and has a raised image of Dodger Stadium. The ring comes from the Sal LaRocca Collection. It is a blank ring, with no name on the plate. The diamond on the ring does not test as real. "Balfour 10K" is stamped inside. The ring is a size 12. It is in excellent condition.
