1974 Muhammad Ali v. George Foreman Zaire Site Poster

1974 Muhammad Ali v. George Foreman Zaire Site Poster

Extremely rare poster came straight out of Africa via a New York sportswriter who obtained it while covering the fight. Stirring image of Ali and Foreman are set against a green outline of the Dark Continent. Poster is a smoking 75x47” and has been respectfully mounted on linen to preserve its beauty and quality. Light folds o/w NRMT this is the first specimen we have ever offered for public or private sale. A fresh specimen that has never before seen the market or the light of day for that matter, even sports the original paste-over of “Octobre 30.” The fight was rescheduled after World’s Heavyweight Champion George Foreman injured himself in training. To tell the story of this fight and its significance in the life and career of Muhammad Ali (and George Foreman as well) is almost a cliche. We will let the beauty and grandeur of this poster as an analogy to those human conditions speak for itself.
