1974 Muhammad Ali vs. George Foreman "Rumble In The Jungle" African Tapestry
Enormous cloth tapestry, measuring 33x46," issued in commemoration of the epic "Rumble in the Jungle" heavyweight title fight between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman in Kinshasa, Zaire, on October 30, 1974. This tapestry was available for purchase only in Zaire, which has resulted in its scarcity today. The colorful design features images of each fighter framed, respectively, within the outline of a boxing glove. Smaller boxing gloves surround the central images, with images of Zaire's flag displayed along the top and bottom borders. This is one of the finer examples of this piece we have seen and it remains in solid EX-MT condition. Framed to total dimensions of 35.75x48.5".
