1974 Pete Rose Cincinnati Reds Signed Game Worn Uniform (MEARS A10)
Few players in any sport are more celebrated, controversial, or downright notable than Pete Rose. By any account, Rose was a marvelous standout in the world of Major League Baseball. A switch hitter, Rose holds to this day the record for all-time hits in MLB history with an astonishing 4,256 slams. In addition, he holds records for games played (3,562), at-bats (14,053), outs (10,328), and brought home three World Series rings. Sourcing from the 1974 season comes this remarkable complete home uniform. Rawlings size "42" pullover jersey is complete with all manufacturer's tagging on the inside front tail along with a "Set 2 #8P 1974" flag and features a Reds logo with "14" on the front and a "14" across the back just below the red tackle twill "ROSE." Matching pants are Rawlings size "32" and complete with "14 33 24 25 3" strip tag firmly sewn into the waistband. Uniform shows nice use and even has a few faint dirt stains on the front from presumably head-first slides. Both jersey and pants have been signed and inscribed "Hit King #4256" by Rose in black marker. Comes with a MEARS A10 LOA.
