1974 Pete Rose Game Worn Spikes
The now disgraced Hit King dug these Adidas cleats into the batter's box during the '74 season when he hit a mere .284 though he did lead the NL in runs with 110. Pete's signature adorns the bottom of each shoe between front and back spikes in black marker, each grading 7/10, and a #14" is written in black on a label in the left sole. Team wore black shoes then, not red as they do now, and Rose took the white stripes off the shoes to make them uniformly black. Great use including some caked-on dirt on the spikes and soles. LOA from the Reds bat boy to whom Rose gave the cleats after a game that year.
