1974 Rose Bowl Champion Ohio Buckeyes Signed Ball with Woody Hayes
Nice find. Football signed by Coach Woody Hayes and many of the Ohio State Buckeyes from their 1974 New Year's Day Rose Bowl win, 42-21, over the USC Trojans. Ohio State was undefeated with one tie during the regular season in 1973. Their big win over USC enabled them to finish the season as second in the Coaches Poll and third in the AP poll. Hayes signed as "Woody Coach". Also signing were such future NFL players as: defensive backs Doug Plank, and Neal Colzie; linebackers Rick Middletown and Randy Gradishar; receiver Brian Baschnagel; running back Champ Henson; and punter Tom Skladany. Overall 40+ signatures, many faded but legible - a few illegible.
