1974 Topps Test Issue Six Million Dollar Man Wax Packs (3)
Beginning in 1951, Topps started producing baseball cards, and before long, the company became the standard-bearer for the industry. But within a few years, the company that originally manufactured bubble gum expanded to non-sports cards and stickers pertaining to the fads of the day such as outer-space (1950s), the Beatles (1960s), Cabbage Patch Kids (1980s) and Pokemon (1990s). But the 1970s proved to be a highly lucrative decade for the company. Not only were baseball and football cards at the height of their popularity, Topps struck gold with "Wacky Packages" and "Star Wars" cards. During this time, these very scarce, test-issue wax packs of the "Six Million Dollar Man" were produced, based on the popular TV show starring Lee Majors. The packs are all graded PSA 8 (NM-MT) and hail directly from the Topps Vault archive. "The Six Million Dollar Man" chronicled the adventures of a former astronaut with bionic implants and it ran from 1974 to 1978 on ABC.
