1975-79 Jim "Catfish" Hunter Signed Game Worn Yankees Fielders Glove

1975-79 Jim "Catfish" Hunter Signed Game Worn Yankees Fielders Glove

From one of the true legends, this Wilson A2000 model glove was used by the one and only Jim "Catfish" Hunter. So named "Catfish" by his first boss Charlie O. Finley of the Oakland Athletics, he was first a part of that Amazin' A's three-in-a-row dynasty (1972-74). But he moved on to the New York Yankees in a hoopla of free agent ferocity. He brought to them a seriousness and a rock solid big name pitcher that led the staff and eventually led to their two incredible World Championships (1977-78). This glove was used by Catfish as a member of that New York Yankee dynasty with his handwritten "29" in the glove. The glove is signed inside, but it is faint and comes with a JSA LOA. This glove has fantastic use with a well-worn and accurately worn "deep" pocket. We have photomatched the style as one of Catfish's. One of the true greats of Major League Baseball and the first big money free agent, Catfish Hunter exemplifies that the truly great are the ones that can do it no matter where they go.
