1975 Muhammad Ali v. Joe Bugner Site Program (HIGH GRADE)

1975 Muhammad Ali v. Joe Bugner Site Program (HIGH GRADE)

The nicest specimen we have seen from one of the toughest Ali programs (7.5x10.25"). The fight that began the "Rocky" legend and franchise NM-MT. Joe Bugner was a British fighter who was born in Hungary. He fought Muhammad Ali in 1973 and lost in going the distance. Less than five months later, he was decisioned by Joe Frazier. Notably, Bugner is the only man to have ever fought Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier in back-to-back fights. Then, on July 1, 1975, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Bugner fought World Heavyweight Champion Muhammad Ali and again lost, but amazingly went the full 15-round distance. Bugner and New Jerseyan Chuck Wepner, underdog fighters who gamely went the distance against Ali, were real life inspirations for "Rocky's Balboa before there was a Rocky Balboa. Program shows photos and profiles on the boxers. 64 pages. Excellent condition.
